A little about you.

Looking for a rewarding part-time job that fits around school, college, university or other commitments?

We're looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable people who enjoy working with children and want to gain valuable experience.

Whether you're looking for your first job, earning some extra money or considering a future career in coaching, teaching or childcare, we'd love to hear from you!

The role and your team.

As an Activity Leader or Sports Coach, you'll work alongside experienced colleagues to help deliver enjoyable and engaging activities for primary school children.

Our team provides breakfast clubs, after-school clubs, sports coaching and holiday activities across local schools.

You'll help create a safe, welcoming and positive environment where children can have fun, make friends and develop their confidence.

You won't be expected to know everything from day one. We'll provide training, guidance and ongoing support to help you develop your skills and experience.

What’s in it for you?

Practical experience

Build hands-on experience working with primary school children across sports, games and creative activities.

Training and progression

Learn alongside experienced colleagues, with training and opportunities to develop your coaching and childcare skills and gain qualifications.

What you’ll do
  • Supporting the delivery of fun sports, games and creative activities.
  • Helping children feel safe, welcome and included.
  • Encouraging children to participate and try new activities.
  • Working alongside colleagues to support the smooth running of sessions.
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Following safeguarding procedures and club policies.
What you’ll bring
  • Friendly, positive and approachable.
  • Enthusiastic about working with children.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • A good communicator and team player.
  • Willing to learn and develop new skills.
  • Confident getting involved in sports, games and activities.
  • Responsible and aware of the importance of safeguarding.
Experience, training & support

Previous experience working with children or in sports coaching would be an advantage, but is not essential.

We're equally interested in applicants who are enthusiastic, reliable and willing to learn. This could be your first job or an opportunity to gain experience alongside your studies.

All appointments will be subject to appropriate safer recruitment and safeguarding checks.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided, including opportunities to develop your coaching and childcare skills.

You'll work alongside experienced colleagues who will help you build your confidence and practical experience. There may also be opportunities to gain recognised qualifications and progress into more senior roles within Kids Club or Onside Coaching.
